What is the Outreach Ministry?

What could be more exciting than serving others and glorifying God at the same time? Wesley’s ministries mobilize and inspire us to meet the needs of a wider community. The Outreach Ministry team leads Wesley’s ministry of service.  We help others grow in God by serving all in need toward healing, restoration and justice.

Member and Community Outreach includes:

Voter Registration and Polling Place

Ongoing partnerships with Greater Chicago Food Depository, Harmony Village, Institute of Women, and ChildServ

Christian Financial Planning Seminars.

Celebrations held for Memorial and Veterans’ Days for our Wesley’s veterans

Annual Community Easter Event, Church Picnic, and Family & Friends Day

Vacation Bible School is held during the summer. Activities include bible lessons, singing, academic enrichment and sports.

Young Lions provides a character building program for young men, trains them in the responsibilities of citizenship and personal fitness. Meetings are held monthly on the 1st Saturday of the month. 

Transportation Ministry provides bus transportation for church ministries. Transportation is also provided for the 10:30 am service.
